Come down off the High Bridge (Interstate 535, now the Blatnik Bridge) and find this restaurant that harkens back to when that was still the Interstate Bridge pre-1961.


Continue south on Hammond Avenue and find the 1901 Carnegie Library on the left at #1204. After serving as a library from 1901-1991, it finally was sold in 2018 for renovation and continued use. When I passed in 2013, the asking price was $125,000. I bet that would have made a nice home - the 1917 East End Branch actually was converted into one.
