Route 16 is called Church Street in Barton for a reason. The Barton United Church is on the east side and the Solid Rock Assembly of God is on the west north of there.


The old Barton Academy is on the northeast corner of Church and Water Streets. It's now an elementary school, so grade school but not really graded. (I think the old distinction was that grade levels were taught separately.)


Looking west from Maple Hill Road as I head north from Barton to Orleans, which is also part of Barton. (Barton is the overall town with villages therein, of which one happens to also be named Barton.)
