Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Cathédrale St-Jean L'Evangéliste, seen from Pont Gouin (Rue St-Jacques) westbound.

The oldest church in SJR and one of the oldest Anglican churches in the province (imagine, Anglicans in a Francophone land?), L'Église St-James is on Rue Jacques-Cartier just south of Rue St-Jacques.

Crossing the Richelieu River ("sur" meaning "on", in the name of the town) back east to Iberville, once a separate city but now part of SJR, this old building is on the first corner on 5th Ave. coming off of Pont Gouin. I'm having trouble figuring out what is/was registered at this bureau, but it might be businesses.

This old house is on the west side of 1st St. (Rue) at 10th Ave.
