Québec - QC Route 381 scenery

Laurentian Mountains along QC Route 381

Heading north into St-Urbain, though all but the first photo face west.

Continuing north along the length of Grands-Jardins National Park to Lac Ha! Ha!. Actually, Route 381 divides it into the regular Lac Ha! Ha! and, seen here, Petit (Little) Lac Ha! Ha!. Actually, I just love typing out "Ha! Ha!" and ending the sentence with a period. I've also visited Baie des Ha! Ha! and Pyramide des Ha! Ha! in Saguenay. This is no coincidence; the river that flows out of this lake - yes, Rivière Ha! Ha! - flows past the pyramid and into the bay. There's also a St-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! in an unrelated area of Québec. If the name sounds funny to you (like haha funny. Get it? Ha! (Ha!)), check out that Saguenay link to learn more.

This is just the southern bit of the western Lac Ha! Ha! with its small, unnamed island. The rest of the lake opens up behind the island, while Route 381 follows an arm of the lake a bit farther (last photo).
