Everything the sun touches is to the west as I head south. No, it's not yours.


The land of the sun is the Kaimai Range to the east. The tallest mountain in the first few photos is probably Te Aroha, at nearly 1 km tall. I've identified the 5th photo at Ngarua Road outside Waitoa and the last photo is a few minutes north of Matamata.
