All photos are taken heading northward on Highway 1, starting at the Conway River.


Through the gorse until things start to get interesting.


Stopped for a moment, looking left (call it west, but who knows where the road is curved at the moment).


Last two photos again look left.


My first glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean, with Kaikoura Peninsula just across, comes shortly before my last Hundalee Hill, after which Highway 1 descends to the coast.
