New York - Manhattan - Farley Post Office

Manhattan - James A. Farley Post Office

The giant US Post Office occupies two full square blocks from 31st to 33rd Streets between 8th and 9th Avenues. These photos head east along 33rd. The last two photos are details above the arch seen in the second photo. The "annex" is now just part of the entire Farley Building, named after the postmaster who oversaw the expansion.

Now some views looking down from Five Penn Plaza across 33rd Street.

Study the architectural details carefully and you will end up with history lessons. The first two details are from the ground, and the rest are from the air (5 Penn).
