New York - Nyack

Nyack

This glorious manse has a top-tier view of the Hudson River and its own waterfall, along River Road (County Route 1) south of the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Now a Spanish-language Catholic church, this was conceived in 1894 as St. Paul's United Methodist Church, but the completed building took 17 years in gestation.

The Nyack Pvblic Library is even older, at 1879. And probably took a lot less time to build. Churches are weird that way.

Looking east and west along Main Street from Cedar Street.

Continuing west on Main Street from there. The old Glenwood Hardware building with all the cool old painted ads is at Franklin Street and dates to 1900.
