All photos look north in an eastbound airplane.


After passing the Nopah Range on the California page (see link at bottom), the right side of the valley is the Spring Mountains just inside Nevada, with a strange tail on the bottom and Charleston Peak in back center.


The other side of the Spring Mountains is Red Rock Canyon. You can see that the rocks are red. My job is done here.


A look back at Charleston Peak, then more easterly at a pocket plain known as Yucca Forest. The west side of the forest is Sheep Range and the east side is Las Vegas Range, with the Sheer Range tailing off in back. Las Vegas the city is just south of me.


The first photo is Virgin Peak, the second photo is just south of it, and the third photo is to the east, with Bitter Ridge halfway up the jet intake at left.
