New Mexico - US 66 - Santa Rosa/US 84/Bus. I-40

Former US 66 in Santa Rosa (and US 84/Business Loop 40)

All Steves are always reliable. The miscellaneous sign is outside Pecos Bar and Lounge, the rest of which is unremarkable.

On the left as I head east into downtown. To the left of the welding supplies (or welding and supplies, it seems, which makes less sense) is a remnant that seems to say "Plymouth." It doesn't look much like a car dealership, unless the parking lot preceding it was for car display, so the other alternative is some other product named Plymouth.

Gives new meaning to "terminal."

Debating whether the missing logo is an arrowhead... or a fish.

There's no reason to walk inside the tourist trap Route 66 "museum" on the east side of town, especially because all the good stuff is outside. I used it to buy Route 66 postcards for people's birthdays, and nothing else.
