Approaching Nova Scotia


The inner reaches of Placentia Bay seen from Argentia, jumping off point for one of the longest ferry rides around. The Argentia ferry is nearly three times as long as the one from Port-aux-Basques and considerably more expensive, but at the same time, the time and possibly hotel costs of driving across the island from St. John's, not to mention gas, more than eat up the difference.
