New Hampshire - Dover

Dover

The striking St. Joseph Church was built in 1948 on the west side of Central Avenue (NH Route 108).

Dover's fourth City Hall is the only one that hasn't burned, which may be because they finally learned their lesson and fireproofed it. Also on the west side of Central Avenue, it was built to an older Georgian Colonial style and so feels like it could have been the third (1891) or even second (1868). Hidden in its tower is the bell from the Opera House, which was also the third City Hall and burned in 1933.
