North Dakota - Rugby

Rugby

Today you learned something by visiting this page: that Central America is not part of North America. According to Rugby's flags, anyway. A computer program recently determined that Rugby is not the actual geographic center. That distinction belongs to... Center. Really. And that town was named for only being the center of Oliver County.

Rugby is, still and always, the legal center of Pierce County, so it has the 1908 Beaux Arts courthouse tucked between 2nd and 3rd Streets. These photos head west along 3rd Street, with a later annex in the foreground to start.

Continuing up the parking lot on the west side.

The building officially fronts on 2nd Street, where you'll find the best views until the trees fill in.
