Maryland - Berlin

Berlin

It starts to get interesting as I get into town from the south on Main Street, the former main highway (US Route 113) along Maryland's eastern shore.

I don't know for the life of me how these buildings started life, but I have trouble buying that they still serve their original function. Businesses don't have interesting shapes.

The one building not on Main Street, Town Hall is just east of the hexagonal bank on Bay Street and is similarly truncated on one corner. All of the various angles of streets coming into the center of town resulted in this geometric panoply.

Water's Edge Gallery (now), west side of Main Street in downtown.

Over to the east side of Main Street and a little to the north.
