Georgia - Savannah

Savannah

A couple of old houses along Abercorn Street. The first is 123 East Henry Street, and the second is 127 East Gordon Street on the southwest corner of Calhoun Square. (For those unfamiliar, downtown Savannah is laid out with squares - and historic houses, and trees, and apparently lots of churches.)

Here's the church for Calhoun Square, the 1868 Wesley Monumental Methodist Church.

Like a pure Disney castle, the 1876 Cathedral of St. John the Baptist rises above Lafayette Square. It's one square closer to the Savannah River than Calhoun.

More views of the gleaming building.
