Old Town San Diego - State Historic Park

The 1827 Casa de Estudillo, one of the oldest buildings in San Diego.

Inside the courtyard and back out. The adobe beehive is really an oven.

The hotel is across Calhoun Street to the north from Casa de Estudillo.

Johnson and Alvarado Houses, walking west on Calhoun St.

Sessions Building (1929) and Casa de Pedrorena de Altamirano (1869) among the buildings in the market area.

The Robinson-Rose House is at the end of San Diego Avenue. It's actually a replica, but reportedly on the foundation of the original. I have trouble believing this because that would put it directly in the path of the former main street that definitely continued northwest from here.

McCoy House, south of Robinson-Rose. It is not bent in the middle, despite my best photographic efforts.

Starting with Casa de Wrightington (why is THAT a Casa but "Alvarado" is a House?), and continuing east along the south side of San Diego Avenue: San Diego House, United States House, Casa de Machado y Silvas, and you can figure out the rest.

La Casa de Machado y Stewart, on the south side of that row of buildings - Machado sure got around.

Mason Street School, east of the above Casa on the northwest corner of Twiggs and Congress Streets.
