Arizona - AZ SR 80 scenery - E. of Douglas

State Route 80 scenery east of Douglas

Photos progress westward from New Mexico.

Looking west just inside the state.

Looking east at Arizona. SR 80 stays close to the border for several miles.

More westward scenery, bolstered by an abandoned railroad bridge in the second photo.

Continuing south but still looking west/NW along that western ridge.

Westward views as the route finally straights out in its primary direction of travel. Oh, you sneaky border patrol, you.

South/SW views from the area where the road curves, panning from left to right.

Somewhat northerly views.

So there's just this... thing sticking up to the southwest. And this other thing way up on the mountain. Arizona scenery can easily get suggestive with a well-placed outcropping or - dare I say it - butte. (Teeheehee.)

More unsettling shapes to the west as I rotate from south to north.

Westbound and looking slightly south as I approach Douglas.
