Alberta - Highway 785

Highway 785

Get used to it, most of the photos on this page are of wind farms surrounding the road. These photos head north from the beginning of the route at Highway 507.

Full speed ahead as you cross Highway 3. Never mind, the road curves away.

The red light is how the government tracks you.

To the left, to the left.

To the south, to the south - left and right photos of the faraway Canadian Rockies.

Highway 785 brushes past the east end of the Oldman River Reservoir as it curves from north to east.

South and southeast photos at the Oldman River Dam just south of the highway. More Canadian Rockies, and wouldn't you know it, more windmills.

Looking north as I bid farewell to the reservoir, then northeast at the Highway 510 junction.

The highway becomes unpaved after that, and I present you with two left-right pairs of windmill photos.

Highway 785 makes a left and heads due north as I circle this giant field of spinny metal flowers.

Panning from west to east.

The last photo looks to my right.

Left, right. Left, right. Which one should I choose? ... ... ... The middle!

Panning from southwest to northwest.

A left/right pair of southern photos as I exit Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump (see link below, it's a cool historical site) and head east. The Canadian Rockies are still hanging out in the background.

Two last northward photos, left and right.

Two last photos I believe are southward before the highway ends.
