NB in downtown Long Beach at Bolstad Ave., traffic is encouraged to turn left but there is no other lane. It's not a forced left, just a direction of traffic letting you know that you can park to the left, and the signal has been retimed to separate NB and SB phases to allow it. Still, don't print an arrow you don't want people to feel compelled to follow.
