It's not necessarily hard to find state-name shields in Virginia, but most of the one-piece signs in places like Richmond and Petersburg have been replaced, so getting these two together is a treasure. Also, most of VA's state-name shields are smaller, with smaller-scale numerals, and newer. To find these, get to Jefferson St. SB between VA 36/Business US 460 WB and EB.

Business US 460 takes a short vacation as VA 36 heads under I-95.
