Oklahoma Roads - Old US 64, Garfield Co.

Old US 64, Garfield County

EB at OK 74, where old US 64 (E 0430 Rd., just another mile square road) comes to an old concrete wye. US 64 followed the leg pictured here to head south on OK 74, east on what is now OK 164, and onto US 77 to meet its current alignment in Perry. OK 15, which is now US 412 from OK 74 west, also went this way, using the north leg of the wye to head up to its current alignment.

WB along E 0430 Rd. until it becomes Market St. outside Enid and passes under the sharply diagonal BNSF Railroad.

One more old concrete structure before Market St. ends. Interestingly, whereas US 64 now comes down from half a mile north to follow the Market St. alignment west through Enid, the original US 64 curved up at 30th St. on what is now University Blvd. to Main St. (Market St. was the straightest route, but did not go through downtown.)

Continue east on former US 64 to Pawnee County
