CR 1 starts out in South Point on the old alignment of US 52. The railroad bridge heads to Kenova from there.


The first two photos are on either end of Burlington, and the last two are in Chesapeake. Though this parallels OH 7 now, it's still the old alignment of US 52, which crossed the Ohio River on the 6th St. Bridge at what is now OH 527. The left turn on red is not from or two a one-way street or even a dead-end - it's to Lawrence CR 31. That's a really surprising turn to allow given the possibility of conflicting traffic.
