Probably when the road was completed, heading west out of Waikare toward Russell Forest.


Plenty of scenery as I continue west to the Kawakawa River railroad bridge.

End of the road, NZ style, although the octagon is a little off-kilter. For an American used to an arrow on the sign, this is a bit jarring but it gets the point across.
