New York Roads - Rockland Co.

Rockland County

Tattered historical sign and a shield with too much black space (or too much hump, your call). The second photo gives away the location of the first.

Scratchup Road at Haverstraw Road, old NY 304, north of the end of current 304. It's possible the original route of US 9W followed Scratchup back to Haverstraw, around the west side of a now-mined mountain instead of on the riverine east side.

Lake Welch Parkway, NY reference route 987A, EB toward the Palisades Interstate Pkwy. The only ramp missing from that interchange is EB-NB, so that traffic has to U-turn at Exit 15. I can't imagine there's much of it.

NB and SB faces of the same sign on CR 53, which is unsurprisingly Buckberg Rd.

Mott Farm Road, CR 118, WB. I think there's supposed to be an END above there, but hey, gotta do what the sign says.

Old street signs, Wayne Ave. at Crickettown Rd., Stony Point.

Old signal, Clinton Ave. WB at South Broadway, Nyack.

Old bridge, Ferdon Ave. SB in Sparkill and then the south and north walls of the 1874 Rockland Road Bridge.

North and south undersides of the historic bridge, fortunately being restored instead of destroyed. It's one of three brick/stone single arches in the state.
