New York Roads - Astoria Blvd., Queens

Astoria Boulevard, Queens

The single-number streets are way at the west end of Queens. Astoria Blvd. dead-ends after this at the Astoria Houses.

Not what you think it is, this WB bubble shield leads you not onto I-278, not onto the Grand Central Parkway, but on a wye connecting the two. It's not signed on its own but it's officially I-278 Spur and commonly known as the Brooklyn-Queens Expwy. East Leg. I-278 west of here is officially part of the Parkway, so each leg of the wye is half of the end of the BQE.

Similar EB signs, different locations. The first is at an onramp just east of the BQE East Leg. The second is at the east end of Astoria Blvd. as it crosses under Northern Blvd. (NY 25A). The left ramp, without button copy, leads to I-678 and the tangle of ramps north of Shea Stadium.
