Historic NJ 39 Ends

39 was part of US 206 and the designation was removed in 1953.
Historic Southern End

39 ended along US 206 at US 30 at what is now the north end of NJ 54 in Hammonton.

30 west. 39 south began with US 206 here.
Northern End

39 ended along US 206/historic NJ 37 at the White Horse Circle.

US 206 north at the circle. This was the end of 39 north. 206 joined 37 west to the left and 37 east continued to the right (mostly a planned route beyond that). 5th and last photos were taken 6/23/02 by Chris Mason.

CR 524/historic 37 west at 206. 206/historic 39 south is left, 206 north/historic 37 is straight, and what is now CR 533 north is to the right.

Inside the former White Horse Circle. The roadway on the left takes what is now =533 south traffic (exiting right in this photo) to 524/historic 37 east. The roadway on the right (with yield markings) is the circle taking 206/historic 39 north traffic to what is now 533 north. The road bearing left took 37 west onto 206 with access to 206/historic 39 south.

206 south/historic 37 east at the circle. 206 bears right where historic 39 south began and 37 continued straight on what is now 524 east. Taken 7/2/2002 by Ray Martin.

Modern 533 south ends at US 206 and historic 37/39. Taken 7/2/2002 by Ray Martin.
