New Jersey Roads - Paulins Kill

Along Paulins Kill

Brugler Road

Brugler Rd. SB across Paulins Kill from NJ 94
in Knowlton.

That bridge looks old. Let's get some better views from the southeast side of the river. Yup, that's old. In fact, it dates to 1860.

Looking southwest along the Kill.

I just couldn't get enough, so I continued south on Brugler until I had this view back north.
Station Road

Next crossing east, Station Rd. SB across Paulins Kill and... something. I don't even think the second bridge crosses water.

Even this is more of a tributary than whatever I crossed. It's just north of the most important bridge on Station Rd.

The Lackawanna Cutoff's Paulinskill Viaduct towers far above everything else along the river. Station Rd. is the access for those who want to explore or even get a view from the top. Careful, there are no railings and that first step is a lulu. If you dare, start your adventure at the big link at bottom.

Once you're done being daring, come back north across the two bridges to NJ 94.

West Crisman Road

W. Crisman Rd. SB over Paulins Kill, a modern truss.

Kill Rd. WB from there toward the Paulinskill Viaduct.

Kill Rd. EB onto W. Crisman Rd. NB.
East Crisman Road

A completely different Crisman, this one heads north from NJ 94 over the west end of Paulina Lake.

Some views from the north side of this 1956 bridge.

Looking east toward Paulina Lake's dam and south toward the ruins of whatever mill or similar builing once used the dam to its advantage.
