New Jersey Roads - Morris CR 623/Park Ave.

Morris CR 623, Park Avenue

These SB signs have all seen better days. The first two are across from each other just south of CR 510/Columbia Tpk.

Remaining old signs at the largest junction along CR 623, both SB.

The NB sign there isn't old, but it's by far the worse for wear. The second photo is a NB view of the SB overhead sign assembly, similar to the CR 510 EB assembly I feature on that page and in similar worn condition.

Heading north on CR 623 from CR 510 in 2008, and then its awful replacement the very next year. Dear highway departments, stop reading my site if you're going to do this to old signs when I show them to you.

Test: Don't remove this NB sign at Ford Hill Rd. The reason a right turn is always allowed is that there's an island separating the turn, no crosswalk in conflict, and no left turns from CR 623 SB.

While we're there, these signals face the end of Ford Hill Rd. WB. They're left turn only because, sure enough, there's another island for right turns.

Continuing north to better shields again and the north end of CR 623. The sign is just across the intersection on town-maintained Park Ave.

Park Ave. continues a little farther and then meets Cedar Knolls Rd., losing its name. This speed limit sign is on Cedar Knolls Rd. EB just before Park Ave. begins.
