New Hampshire Roads - NH 1B

Hyphen optional, apparently.

All photos taken southbound.

The two places that bely the origin of either of these routes as a spur of US 1. The first is on Hancock St. SB at Pleasant St., and the second is east of there on Pleasant St. EB, where NH 1B turns onto Pleasant St. from Marcy St. and South St. bears right toward NH 1A.

The traditional hyphen is back in the shields here as NH 1B winds through New Castle, a town on an island.

Older sign as NH 1B comes to its end at NH 1A.
