Greenville Bridge

Greenville Bridge is also known as the Greene St. Bridge for its original location in town upon construction in 1927 along what was then NC 11. Now, instead of crossing the Tar River, it crosses a small drainage tributary into it.

Driving by the bridge on 1st St. EB.

I parked on the west side and then walked to, under, and back up from the bridge. There are plaques on each side, but the western ones are in near-mint condition.

Now east across the bridge toward Baker St.

I'd argue some of those beams look the worse for wear, but I guess they function enough to support pedestrians.
