ME 131 SB enters Thomaston on US 1 NB, but that's okay because they're basically going east here.


There was a new banner on this NB shield, but MaineDOT never replaced the old sign below. (That's okay.) The shield atop the page is also NB, farther up in Morrill.


Compare the metal NB sign to this wooden SB sign and banner, being reclaimed by nature. This is why signs are now made of metal!


It looks like this ME 203 shield at its beginning junction has aged terrifically for an old metal installation (to a completely different spec than most, so I'm not sure how to determine its age), but click for a closeup and judge for yourself.
