Maryland Roads - MD 725

MD 725

MD 725 follows old MD 4 through Upper Marlboro, the rural county seat of Prince George's County. Most of the route is also old MD 3, Crain Highway, which is now part of US 301.

Old MD 3 SB/MD 4 NB split on the west side of town. In deference to the wrong way concurrency, this is MD 725 WB.

This monument to Crain Highway is in the median of the old route as it bears left from the Marlborough sign.

Two faces of the old street signs at MD 717, a short connector south to MD 4.

Heading east, I thought I'd see a historical marker related to the courthouse (remodeled in 1940), but instead this is what's in front. The old bell tower is now an art installation on the lawn, saved after a 2004 fire and replaced with etched glass panels.

One more EB street sign.
