Sure enough, that's the end of MD 497. Maryland likes to sign MD 2 and MD 4 together with a hyphen, since two single digit routes lend themselves well to a single shield (see US 1-9 in New Jersey). But then you get the separate shields occasionally hanging out next to each other, older but still useful.
