I ran into a few of these signs in the area right by Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG, imagine that) at the south ends of both MD 152 and MD 24. This sign is SB at Hanson Rd., and you can see that it's actually all one sign in back with an MD 24 shield pasted on top.


Old Mountain Rd., a.k.a. old MD 152, SB at McGuigan Dr. where it curves back into current MD 152 near I-95. Well, it's forced back by this guiderail, and you can still see pavement from where the 2-lane road once ran straight ahead back to the current alignment in the distance. There's another old alignment on the other side of MD 152 that was cut off by the I-95 interchange.


Looking north from the stub, you can see the old concrete pavement cracking the asphalt as Old Mountain Road merges onto it. McGuigan Dr. is to the right.
