IL 53 and former US 66

IL 53 north of US 66/Romeoville


Heading south from Joliet, IL 53 leaves Historic 66 on its own, but all that separates them for quite awhile is a single railroad track. Such is the case in Braceville, courtesy Doug Kerr. After 53 ends, old 66 becomes a fairly continuous frontage road for I-55.
