Rising Sun Lane, Wilmington

All photos are northbound.

This trestle at the northwest end of Brandywine Park no longer carries a railroad.

The southern approach to the 1928 Brandywine Creek bridge was built on an 1830s stone arch, but all you get here is truss because I didn't know that in 2013.

Rising Sun Lane ends, but it wasn't supposed to be this way. This is the one unimproved part of DE 141, a massive bypass reduced to 2 lanes thanks to NIMBYs who killed a creek bridge replacement and bypass alignment by DuPont's massive plant. Is the plant really that scenic?

Onto DE 141
