Connecticut Roads - CT 229
NB and SB at the beginning of the route in Bristol.
The reason most people have ever been on CT 229, ESPN headquarters.
NB at CT 72, with an example from the unfortunate time in ConnDOT history when they tried straying from the FHWA font. I don't think it lasted all that long, but seemingly half the routes in the state have at least one example shield using that font.
A similarly ugly shield where CT 72 WB jogs off of CT 229 SB. Fun fact: CT 72/229 no longer multiplex for the short block under a railroad overpass, thanks to the new CT 72 expressway.
Onto CT 72
