California Roads - I-5 - Intersecting streets

intersecting streets
Above: O'Brien Road at Exit 695.

State name shields on the eastbound Camino de la Plaza by México. One of these shields just can't be the right standard.

19th St. NB at J St., San Diego.

Harbor Dr. SB at Grape St. (first photo) and then onto Grape St. NB, downtown San Diego.

Laurel St. WB at India St., which becomes the I-5 NB frontage road, and then feeds into San Diego Ave. near Old Town San Diego.

Harney St. EB at Juan St., also in Old Town.

Next sign down Congress St. from the one atop the main page. The I-8 shield is on top and the I-5 shield is below.

Across I-8, these are on Sea World Dr. EB over I-5 Exit 21.

The best of the bunch on Sea World Dr. is WB.

Heading east from Exit 72 (Cristianitos Rd.), make sure you turn off at the public camp or you'll end up in the Marine Corps camp.

CA 55 NB in Santa Ana in 1986, courtesy Michael Summa. The second photo was way in the background on the exit ramp, and shows Los Angeles (NORTH 5) to the left and San Diego (SOUTH 5) to the right.

Yet another odd spec for an I- shield in California, Olympic Blvd. EB at Telegraph Rd. at I-5 Exit 131A. It's directional, so the next entrance to I-5 SB is Exit 130.

Buena Vista St. NB at Exit 148. The first sign was replaced when I-5 was widened through Burbank.

Penrose St. EB at Exit 151 and Frazier Mountain Park Rd. EB at Exit 205.

Sutterville Rd., Sacramento, west at and past its interchange with Riverside Blvd.

The onramp from 5th St. and W St. in Sacramento splits to Bus. I-80 WB (left side of gantry) and I-5 SB (right side) in the midst of a larger interchange.
