South Carolina

All photos are from Cheraw along US Routes 1/52 and SC Route 9.

St. Peter's Catholic Church and Market Hall are both along Market Street, both antebellum (1840 and 1837 respectively), and both designed by Peter Conlaw Lynch. You can pretty much tell his style. Market Hall started out as a more open structure (what is now bricked in as a "basement") for selling, auctions, and even the slave trade. One wonders what ghosts lurk down there.

Town Hall is on the corner of Market Street and 2nd Street, where all those routes turn in the middle of town. I only got the back side looking south.

Along the west side of 2nd Street north of there.
