When I was there in 2011, there had been a rockslide closing the back part of the trail loop. About 2/3 of the trail was to the left, 1/3 to the right. If it has since reopened, my left/right division may seem arbitrary.

This is Walnut Canyon proper, looking west and east, obviously in the dry season. The most interesting part of the Canyon is what you see along the trail, though there's plenty of scenery to go around. You'll have to click the links above for more.
