The first old hotel in from the west tries to mimic the striking scenery along the old road.


Hotel Beale tried its fortunes facing east instead of west, maybe figuring most travelers leaving the West Coast wouldn't hit Kingman anywhere close to nightfall.


The motel trail continues onto former US 93 after the first photo, with both old routes sticking together through town. The difference is that US 93 has merely been rerouted, whereas US 66 has ceased to exist - plus there are a lot more songs and folklore about 66.
