Laurier Ave. EB and down the exit to Queen Elizabeth Dr. for a look at the first bridge across the Rideau Canal, which just happens to be that of Laurier Ave.


South to Hawthorne Ave., which crosses the canal just south of Highway 417. Notice the 2-phase signals for the drawbridge, which remain unlit until turning yellow and then red for a bridge lift.


Queen Elizabeth Dr. is a Federally maintained parkway, so it gets strange Federal signage like this median arrow substituting for a proper Keep Right.


QED (if I may coin an abbreviation that's already been coined) crosses a bridge of its own and then turns west toward Dow's Lake. Bank St. crosses the arched spans, seen WB and EB.
