New York Roads - NY 79

NY 79

NY 79 EB at US 11 and onto NY 26 NB for a trip across the Tioughnioga River, where NY 206 begins.

Leaving NY 12 NB in Chenango Forks and crossing the Chenango River. Gotta love that scary steel grate.

Looking north along the river.

Despite being an east-west route, NY 79 turns resolutely southward upon leaving NY 7, passing the first sign after I-88, and comes to the Pennsylvania border where Doug Kerr has given me this half of the state line. The other half is on the PA 92 page, since you would only see it from that side.
