New York Roads - Greene CR 47

Greene CR 47

SB on Old Kings Rd. from NY 23A, about to leave Greene County.

A similar old street sign NB.

Cauterskill Rd. splits into multiple pieces by Kaaterskill Creek. (Which flows into Catskill Creek. Come on, how many different variants of a name can there be within a few feet?) The piece to the east is CR 30, the pieces to the north and south are CR 47, and it seems that the piece to the west is nothing at all, but here's I-87 flying overhead on the New York Thruway just off of CR 47, so it ends up on this page.

In fact, there's another bridge just beyond that, a nice Kaaterskill Creek truss that merits exploring this spur.

Heading back east on Cauterskill Rd. to Cauterskill Rd./CR 47. There are no street signs proclaiming this confusion.

CR 47 crosses a truss bridge of its own, SB, but not nearly as nice as the other Cauterskill Rd. one.

A NB look in 2014; brown wasn't doing it for someone.

SB at NY 23.
