My plan was to take AR 88, Talimena Drive, through the Ouachita National Forest, but here is why I didn't. AR 8, running through the valley, came out practically unscathed by the storm, and I imagine US 270 on the other side was also clear. It's just right on top of the Kiamichi Mountains, and trust me, it's just as stormy as it looks.


Across the Kiamichi River and on to Oklahoma.
